03.069 TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT
The board of education recognizes that transportation is a necessary element of educational opportunity and, therefore, the board shall grant opportunities for transportation. Transportation is a privilege extended to technology center students only when necessary for the accomplishment of one of the following purposes:
- To provide transportation for any student who is participating in a program of the technology center.
- To allow, when practicable, the use of vehicles for the transportation of students to activities and on field trips that have been approved by the superintendent or designee.
- To provide adequate education facilities and opportunities which otherwise would not be available.
- To contract for the use of school buses and other school transportation for general public use including religious, political, literary, community, cultural, scientific, mechanical, agricultural or parental involvement purposes, and to make a reasonable charge to cover the cost of the use of school transportation.
- The board of education may provide transportation to students living outside the boundaries and routes established for the district by the State Board of Education
