This program prepares students for entry-level employment in various medical settings, providing them with essential skills and foundational knowledge for the healthcare field. Students learn key medical office procedures, including scheduling, patient interaction, and record-keeping, and master medical terminology to ensure precise communication. The curriculum includes comprehensive training in phlebotomy, focusing on safe and effective blood collection techniques required for laboratory settings. Instruction in anatomy and physiology gives students a strong understanding of the human body's structure and functions, a critical asset in clinical environments. Additionally, students develop essential clinical skills, including taking vital signs, performing medical math calculations, practicing infection control measures, and administering first aid and CPR. This program offers a solid foundation for industry-recognized certifications and prepares graduates to thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Tuition and fees or documentation from your funding agency are due by the first day of class each semester. Students who are enrolled in a program for more than 5 scheduled school days will be responsible for the full semester’s tuition and fees, regardless of enrollment or funding status. Out-of-district adult students will pay in-district tuition plus $1000 for an “out-of-district” fee.

Students using Veterans Education benefits under Chapter 33 (Post 9-11) or Chapter 31 (V R&E) must turn in a copy of their Certificate of Eligibility (COE) prior to beginning their program. Students will be allowed to start the class without payment if the COE is on file with the Financial Aid Coordinator. The Financial Aid Coordinator will verify with the Cashier that the student has provided proof of the Education Benefits.
Cost of Attendance: $18,500
Cost based on Consumer Price Index as of December 2023. The standard allowance breaks down the expense categories as follows: Food 19%, Transportation 13%, Commodities 21%, Housing 41%, and Miscellaneous 6%.
