This program will teach students to do quality welding for a variety of construction and manufacturing jobs using multiple structural welding techniques. Instruction will cover welding theory and safety, fabrication, layout, print reading, symbols, math, welding codes, metal characteristics/properties and oxyfuel cutting. Students will learn to perform high quality welds in accordance with welding procedure specifications used in a variety of welding occupations. They will also gain an introduction to pipe welding skills, using SMAW, FCAW and GTAW techniques.

COMBINATION WELDER FEE................. Costs are approximate and subject to change. The Combination Welder fee includes additional costs of required materials, such as books and technology, as well as certification tests.	$385.00

MISC. EXPENSES ................. These are additional costs and are not charged against Pell, Post 911, and/or some funding agencies. These are considered out-of-pocket expenses and are approximate costs. Students are required to attend class before purchasing any of the below items on supply list. This is a separate cost, and is in addition to your tuition and textbooks. The instructor will advise student where to purchase items but no paperwork will be filled out by the instructor.	$550.00

Welding Shirts, (100% cotton only) ...... Welding shirts must be 100% cotton with flaps on the chest pockets. They need to be large enough that the top button on the welder's neck can be worn buttoned. Any color is fine, however lighter colors are more comfortable out in the sun. No lightweight shirts.	$35.00

Tuition and fees or documentation from your funding agency are due by the first day of class each semester. Students who are enrolled in a program for more than 5 scheduled school days will be responsible for the full semester’s tuition and fees, regardless of enrollment or funding status. Out-of-district adult students will pay in-district tuition plus $1000 for an “out-of-district” fee.

Students using Veterans Education benefits under Chapter 33 (Post 9-11) or Chapter 31 (V R&E) must turn in a copy of their Certificate of Eligibility (COE) prior to beginning their program. Students will be allowed to start the class without payment if the COE is on file with the Financial Aid Coordinator. The Financial Aid Coordinator will verify with the Cashier that the student has provided proof of the Education Benefits.

Cost of Attendance: $18,500
Cost based on Consumer Price Index as of December 2023. The standard allowance breaks down the expense categories as follows: Food 19%, Transportation 13%, Commodities 21%, Housing 41%, and Miscellaneous 6%.
