Whether you're college bound or career bound Great Plains Tech can help you attain your goals through experience in our hands-on career programs. The best part is high school student get FREE tuition!

Great Plains Tech accepts high school juniors and seniors to most of our 20 full-time career programs. High school students attend Great Plains one-half day (either morning or afternoon sessions) and attend their home high school or home school the remainder of the day. In addition to our Lawton and Frederick campuses, Great Plains also offers Pre-Engineering classes to freshmen and sophomores on the campuses of all three Lawton high schools.

Here’s how you apply for admission to Great Plains. Speak to your high school counselor about applying. Your counselor will provide us your enrollment information along with relevant transcript, attendance and assessment results. We will arrange an in-person interview with each student at their high school. Great Plains also welcomes Home School Students to apply for admission. Please visit with our Student Services Office for enrollment procedures for Home School students.

Career Programs at Great Plains Technology Center prepare students for employment through a technical education. These programs typically take two to four semesters to complete and often lead to industry certifications. As part of the CareerTech System, Great Plains Tech graduates get to work quickly, and can use their training to prepare for a college degree program, enter the military, or enter the workforce.

Earn a High School Equivalency (HSE) Diploma at Great Plains Technology Center (formerly GED)
High School Equivalency classes are offered at no cost. Persons interested in working toward High School Equivalency (HSE) should come to Building 200, and fill out an application. We will call and schedule an appointment for Orientation and Placement Testing as seats become available.
