The Scholarship Committee will meet shortly after the deadline to determine the winners of the scholarship and will present winners at the Senior Award Ceremony at your High School.

Applications received after the deadline will not be considered for the 2026 year

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP

  • Carefully read the entire application and information guidelines to insure that you meet all scholarship requirements.
  • Complete the scholarship application and return it with the documentation below to Student Services Building 100 Room 107.
    • Once application is complete it will be submitted to the Scholarship Committee who will determine the scholarship winners each year.
    • Obtain an official copy of your high school transcript. The school seal must be on the transcript.
    • A high school counselor must recommend you for this scholarship. The counselor will be contacted by the committee after the application is submitted.
    • Has a minimum 2.5 cumulative high school GPA through the last completed transcripted semester.
    • Has 10 absences or fewer during the last 2 completed semesters reported on the official transcript. o GPTC must have received the scholarship application and documentation within ONE year of your graduation date from high school. 
    • Only students who have graduated from a high school within the Great Plains school district are eligible.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. The scholarship is a one-time tuition scholarship. The scholarship is good for ONE Full Time Program Tuition. No monies are issued directly to the scholarship recipient.
  2. The scholarship is good for 1 year from the date of High School Graduation.
  3. If you are selected as a Scholarship Winner, it is for tuition only and can be applied towards ONE Full-Time Program. 
  4. To retain eligibility as a scholarship recipient you must:
    • Receive a minimum, grade of ”B" in the Full Time Career Major each semester.
    • Failure to receive a minimum grade of “B” will result in the loss of the balance of the scholarship.  
    • Be within acceptable attendance guidelines.
    • Failure to withdraw from a class prior to the start date will result in the loss of the balance of the scholarship.
