Advanced EMT - Lawton Campus

Prerequisite: Current EMT State License/National Registry; Healthcare Provider BLS CPR card.
This program reviews EMT level knowledge. Curriculum also covers shock and fluid therapy with intravenous infusion, respiratory management with the use of advanced airway devices, pathophysiology, and general pharmacology. Background checks will be conducted for all students. Students must have shot records for clinical facilities which will include Flu, HBV and COVID series or appropriate waivers, Varicella, TDAP, and MMR. If no shot record documentation is available, students must show documentation of current titer tests. Shot records and/or titers are required at the start of class. Additional costs include books, PPD, drug screen, black EMS uniform pants, black boots, and other supplies. The PPD and drug screen deadline will be given by the instructor when class begins. Students will be required to complete a minimum of 140 clinical hours in addition to the 180-hour class.
Prerequisite: Current EMT State License/National Registry, current BLS CPR certification. NREMT exam fee is approximately $200.
