You will learn to:

  • Design, fabricate, install, and maintain heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems
  • Torch, braze, and solder pipes and fittings to install or repair compressors, condensers, chillers, and pumps in a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Design, layout, and fabricate sheet metal ducts and a wide range of environmental components

Description

This program is an introduction to air-conditioning and refrigeration, exploring career opportunities in the HVAC/R industry, personal safety and work practices, and personal protective equipment. Students will be instructed in the proper handling of pressurized fluids, handling hazardous substances, hand and power tools, and equipment used to test and service air conditioning.

Class Meets: Monday - Friday
AM Session: 8:00 am-11:00am 
PM Session: 11:50am-2:50pm
1000 hours - 9 months to complete
